1 a Façade for high-bay warehouse

Six construction hoists from the Bavarian manufacturer GEDA-Dechentreiter GmbH & Co.KG have been put to use in the assembly of the external façade of a high-bay warehouse in the bauma partner country of Indonesia.

The high-bay warehouse with a surface area of 10,320 m² has been built in Surubaya in Indonesia. As the construction of the warehouse was already prefabricated from shelf parts, no additional steel structure was needed. In order to assemble the complete external façade without a crane, CT Technologies, the company responsible, decided to use three GEDA AB 650 suspended working platforms and three GEDA Star 250 Comfort wire rope hoists.

GEDA Star 250 Comfort – the compact power pack

The GEDA Star 250 is the ideal hoist for use on a construction site. Whether on the scaffold, at a window, between floors or fastened to the roof - the swivel arm hoist is quick and easy to use even under tough conditions. The wire rope hoist scored highly during construction, as since the electric winch can be separated from the swivel arm, this device can be assembled by one person.
With a lifting speed 28 m/min the GEDA Star 250 transports a wide range of building materials up to heights of 50 metres. With many practical load carrying devices and a load capacity of 250 kg, the wire rope hoist can overcome virtually every building site challenge and also saves time and energy.
So during the construction of the high-bay warehouse in Indonesia, the GEDA Star 250 reliably transported the different façade elements upwards.

Scaffold-free assembly with the GEDA AB 650

Three GEDA AB 650 suspended working platforms were used to assemble the façade elements safely and quickly. The scaffold-free GEDA suspended working platform enables work to be carried out on building façades and also on silos, towers, cooling towers, industrial plants and pits, etc. The platform is big enough to accommodate both people and materials. The operating height of the platform can be adjusted with centimetre-level precision, which means that work can always be carried out at the most ergonomically favourable position. The benefits of the GEDA AB 650 also become clear during assembly/disassembly. The components are very light and can be transported by just one person which also makes the assembled platform considerably easier to move. The hot dip galvanized outriggers can be quickly assembled and disassembled using the plug and socket devices. Special corner pieces and brackets enable the suspended working platform to be adapted to a wide variety of building shapes.
As with all GEDA hoist solutions safety is of course also very important with the suspended working platform. Therefore the integrated tilt compensation and the overload safety device ensure safe working at great heights.

bauma partner country Indonesia – a growth market of superlatives

Indonesia was chosen as the bauma partner country 2013 for very good reason. The biggest country in South-East Asia is a growth market for the construction sector. Through planned infrastructure investments of USD 465 billion up to 2025, Indonesia is promising huge potential for business and investment opportunities.
And last but not least GEDA is proud of the successfully completed façade work on the high-bay warehouse in Surubaya. Once again the combination of GEDA wire rope lifts and suspended working platforms won over the customer and ensured the safe and efficient operation of the construction project.
