GEDA at bauma 2016
Under the motto "Première" the company presented unique innovations in Munich
A record 605,000 square meters of exhibition space, at total of 3,423 exhibitors and around 580,000 visitors from 200 countries, plus gigantic machines and cranes soaring high into the sky as far as the eye could see – bauma in Munich is clearly the trade show of superlatives. All sectors, all market leaders, all important innovations. Everyone who's been here once, returns again and again – just like the company GEDA-Dechentreiter GmbH & Co. KG.

As in previous years the Bavarian construction and industrial hoist manufacturer was represented at bauma on an open air stand. From 11 to 17 April 2016 under the motto "Première", GEDA presented both its long-standing hoist solutions that have proven their worth on construction sites for decades alongside numerous new innovations to be announced at the trade fair. Many of the hoists exhibited were operational and transported visitors to dizzy heights far above the GEDA stand and over the huge trade fair site.
Celebration of world première: The GEDA BatteryLadderLIFT
What could be more appropriate for the launch of a world première than the breathtaking atmosphere of the world's biggest construction machinery trade fair? Considered to be the "beating heart of the sector" bauma provides the perfect opportunity for the première of a unique innovation from GEDA – the GEDA BatteryLadderLIFT.
The name is the game for the compact and light device as the high-capacity 24 V/10 Ah Li-Ion-battery removes any need for that often time-consuming search for an electricity source on a construction site. It can also be operated totally wirelessly by the innovative remove radio control.
With its load capacity of 120 kg and a hoisting speed of 15 m/min the GEDA BatteryLadderLIFT uses its versatile load carrying device to transport all types of construction materials upwards quickly and safely. The massive GEDA LIFTLeiter can also be used as a stepladder and lean-to ladder and can support lifting heights from 2.5 metres to 10.0 metres. Even when the GEDA BatteryLadderLIFT is not needed, the robust ladder can be used as a traditional construction site ladder.
Then at the end of the working day the GEDA world première is soon ready for its next installation deployment after a short battery charging time of only 1.5 hours.
New transport platform GEDA 3700 Z/ZP
The new GEDA 3700 Z/ZP is the perfect complement to the existing transport platform family. GEDA introduced the “new kid on the block” at bauma 2016. Of course, the tried-and-tested GEDA know-how has been incorporated into the development of the new device.
With the launch of the new GEDA 3700 Z/ZP the company offers a device that meets the market demands for higher loads and larger platform sizes: Four different platform dimensions with a maximum load capacity of 3700 kg make the “new one” versatile and adaptable to any challenge on site.

GEDA has new markets in its sights: The new GEDA SBL 2000
New concepts for new markets is the banner under which the Bavarian construction and industrial hoist manufacturer GEDA-Dechentreiter Gmbh & Co. KG presented a new personnel and material hoist, especially for markets outside Europe: The new GEDA SBL 2000.
Special solutions, aligned exactly to individual building requirements, are not required in most cases in markets outside Europe. In contrast with other, variably adjustable hoist solutions from GEDA, the new GEDA SBL 2000 is therefore only available in a fixed platform size of 3.20 x 1.45 x 2.10 metres, a standard load capacity of 2000 kg and 23 people, as well as a hoist speed of 55 m/min and a discharge head of 250 m.
And of course, the GEDA SBL 2000 in no way lags behind other hoist solutions from the extensive GEDA range in terms of quality and safety.
The title “Made in Germany” also stands for quality outside Europe. According to GEDA Managing Director Johann Sailer, it is important to stress in this context that with the GEDA SBL 2000 a product optimally tailored to meet the needs of target markets outside European has been developed and manufactured entirely in Germany.
In future, the GEDA SBL 2000 will be available both as a single and a twin cabin.
Robust and flexible: The GEDA Suspended Working Platform Standard
Precisely on schedule for bauma 2016, GEDA's suspended working platform Standard will be enhancing GEDA's suspended working platform range, which has proven its worth on construction sites for decades. Using GEDA's suspended working platform means that façades can be worked on cost-effectively regardless of building height.
The 1½" tubes used ensure that the new GEDA suspended working platform standard is flexible in its use and very scaffold-friendly. One particularly practical feature is that all screws have the same width across the flats.
The platform is big enough for personnel and materials and the centimetre-level precision setting of the operating height always ensures the most ergonomically favourable position during any works.
Both for transportation and for assembly/disassembly the new GEDA suspended working platform Standard benefits greatly from the low self-weight of the platform and the outrigger. Its ease of handling – without losable small parts – also translates into huge time and cost savings.
Suspended working platforms are often exposed to tough environmental conditions in the daily work on a construction site. But GEDA is also on hand to help with this as the full galvanisation of the robust platform defies wind and weather. The outrigger can be used as a three-legged or four-legged variant ensuring maximum adaptability and flexibility depending on the specific site conditions.
Even easier to operate: The GEDA 500 Z/ZP Version 3
The future-oriented variant of the proven range of GEDA Z/ZP transport platforms is being launched onto the market with an even easier control system. It is particularly when operating with several landings where the unique benefits of the GEDA 500 Z/ZP Version 3 can be seen. The new control function enables the transport platform to be called from the ground station and a precise landing approach from below and above can be guaranteed.
Coveted Exhibition Space
bauma 2016 was completely sold out many months before opening its doors. A waiting list operated in all areas despite the fact that the exhibition space had been expanded to the record size of 605,000 m² square metres. And an entire 552 m² of this space was being used by the GEDA height access specialists for the "Première" 2016.
The next bauma takes place from April 8 to 14, 2019 in Munich.
