GEDA at bauma Africa 2013: "Meet – Connect – Expand"
When bauma calls the entire construction machinery sector follows – even as far away as distant South Africa. Following the great success of bauma 2013 in April in Munich, the Munich Trade Fair organisers are expanding their international network in the construction machinery sector.

The first ever bauma Africa took place from 18 to 21 September in Johannesburg and was primarily focused on participants from Southern Africa. Also exhibiting was the construction hoist manufacturer GEDA-Dechentreiter GmbH & Co.KG from Asbach-Bäumenheim in Bavaria, Germany. After their home trade fair in Munich the specialists from Bavaria made their way to distant South Africa. Accompanying them were many new innovations for the trade fair as well as several long-standing members of the GEDA product family.
The small wire rope lifts GEDA MAXI 150 S and GEDA Lift 250 Comfort won over the trade fair visitors as did the the GEDA Multilift P12 personnel and material hoist with its load capacity of up to 1.5 tonnes. The GEDA AB 650 suspended working platform and the "Comfort" construction waste chute also generated enthusiastic reactions from the visitors to the GEDA stand.
The sector had great expectations for the trade fair – and they were not disappointed. With lots of visitors and 350 exhibitors from across the world, the first bauma Africa closed on a positive note and celebrated a successful première.
