GEDA at CTT 2017

Johann Sailer at the official opening ceremony in Moscow

CTT, the International Show of Construction Equipment and Technologies, is the leading event in the construction sector in Russia and Eastern Europe. Reason enough therefore for representatives from industry and commerce and service providers from the construction machinery and the building materials industries to converge at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Moscow from 30.05.17 to 03.06.17. Bavarian manufacturer of construction hoists, GEDA Dechentreiter GmbH & Co.KG was one of the over 550 exhibitors.

Following on from its successful exhibitions there over the past few years, the GEDA trade show team once again travelled to the Russian metropolis to the CTT. On the GEDA stand numerous visitors from across the world were able to see the company’s wide product range for themselves and alongside a selection of proven GEDA height access solutions, they were also introduced to a new innovation.

GEDA’s managing director Johann Sailer participated in the show’s official opening ceremony

In his role as VDMA (German Engineering Federation) chairman of the Construction Equipment and Building Material Machinery Association, GEDA’s managing director, Johann Sailer, together with the managing director of the Munich Trade Fair, Stefan Rummel and international representatives from business and politics, officially opened the eighteenth CTT. In his address Sailer highlighted the positive growth signs of the construction equipment and building materials sectors in Russia, and that further work on the framework conditions was still required to consolidate these signals in the future. Johann Sailer continued by saying that it is specifically important during difficult economic times to demonstrate commitment to the sector and be present at CTT in person as an exhibitor.

Show highlight: GEDA BL 2000

The undisputed show highlight on the GEDA stand was the GEDA BL 2000 personnel and materials hoist. The device is a completely new development and scores highly with its load capacity of 2,000 kg materials or 23 people and a hoisting speed of 55 m/min and extensive state-of-the-art control variants. As soon as it is on its way to the construction site, the “new kid on the block” in the GEDA range starts winning over users as the individual cabin can be transported as a complete unit on one HGV. Once it arrives on the construction site work to assemble the device can start immediately without any cabin components having to be assembled in advance. The new GEDA BL 2000 will be available both as a single and twin cabin design and complies with all the CE-conformity standards.

As always a focus on customer proximity

The international character of CTT makes it, amongst other things, an ideal springboard for accessing the target markets of Russia and the CIS and it also serves as an ideal business platform for information exchanges and worldwide collaboration. The establishment of both GEDA MAJOR in Istanbul in Turkey at the end of 2012 and of the company's own subsidiary in Moscow in 2008 has for some time now created the framework for GEDA to provide targeted services to these markets.
With another successful participation at CTT in Moscow, the German construction hoist manufacturer has taken yet another step to supplying the markets of Russia and the CIS with its unique lift solutions.
