GEDA at Intermat 2018
The height-access specialists from Asbach-Bäumenheim present both new and well-proven solutions in Paris
From 23 - 28 April 2018 the French capital was the focus of the construction industry when for six days exhibitors from throughout the world presented innovations and state-of-the-art technologies at Intermat in Paris. Held every three years the exhibition for construction machinery and construction engineering welcomed 183,000 visitors and 1,500 exhibitors from 40 countries and once again in 2018 showcased its position as an important industry event.
One of the exhibitors was GEDA Dechentreiter GmbH & Co.KG, the manufacturer from Asbach-Bäumenheim. In addition to the product innovations on show in Paris the height access specialists also exhibited the GEDA 2 PK crane operator hoist, a product which has been particularly well received in the French market.
Innovative height access solutions for all those construction site challenges
GEDA BL 2000, the new person and material hoist, was also presented for the first time in France. Wherever heavy loads have to be transported to great heights, the GEDA BL 2000 ensures the necessary efficiency in the construction process. The hoist has a load capacity of 2,000 kg for materials or 23 people and a lifting speed of 55 m/min and the new power pack from GEDA is available as a single and twin variant. The platform size of 1.45 x 3.20 x 2.10 metres also enables the transportation of bulky goods up to a lifting height of 250 metres. To make the hoist even more convenient and user-friendly, the GEDA exerts have equipped the hoist with comprehensive state-of-the-art control variants.
The latest innovation from GEDA – the GEDA BatteryLadderLIFT, also received its French première.
Assembled by only one person in less than five minutes, the compact industrial hoist uses its powerful 24 V/10 Ah li-ion-battery drive and different platforms to transport all kinds of materials up to 120 kg. So with just one touch of a button the practical remote radio control sets the compact device in motion from 0 to 15 m/min. Whether for a refurbishment project or a new build site, installers, heating engineers, tilers, decorators, window producers, joiners, removal companies or DIY enthusiasts, the GEDA BatteryLadderLIFT is the ideal transportation tool for all those materials that have to be transported upwards and downwards quickly and safely.
Exhibition highlight GEDA 2 PK crane operator hoist
As in some other European countries, for a few years it has also been a legal obligation in France to use a crane operator hoist. As from 2019 every crane over 30 metres in height must be equipped with a hoist for the crane driver. With the GEDA 2 PK, GEDA has the ideal solution for transporting crane operators quickly, and above all safety, to lofty heights.
Presented in the colours of the French flag the GEDA 2PK was a real eye-catcher on the Intermat exhibition stand.
The GEDA 2 PK transports the crane operator quickly and above all safety to lofty heights. This means no more risky, arduous climbs in often poor weather conditions. The flexible system means the hoist can be assembled onto all crane types from all manufacturers and as standard up to a height of 150 metres. The crane operator hoist can also act as a life saver in an emergency since the recovery and rescue of unconscious or ill crane operators can be carried out very quickly by the GEDA 2 PK. Without a crane operator hoist a time and cost-intensive helicopter is generally needed.
Positive outcome and successful start to the trade show spring
To sum up GEDA can look back on six successful exhibition days in Paris and views this as a good omen for the rest of the 2018 exhibition year. From 5 - 8 June 2018 the GEDA team will be exhibiting at bauma CTT Russia, the leading event in the construction sector in Russia and Eastern Europe.
