GEDA launches new modular hoist line for transport of persons and material

For the first time a completely new modular system will be introduced by company GEDA at this year’s BAUMA. To cope with national and international regulations, GEDA extended its well-known Z/ZP transport platform range. This new hoist range leaves nothing to be desired. Named as GEDA Multilift Standard and GEDA Multilift Comfort model line the new dimension of hoists for persons and material gets started.

Company GEDA wants to expand into a new market segment and launches a flexible mid-range hoist. A variety of spacious load platforms can be combined in the well-approved GEDA modularity. The Z/ZP transport platforms serve as the basic devices. By changing the platform they can be extended from a transport platform (loading platform open) to a completely closed hoist for persons and material thanks to the modular method of building and the same mast systems used.
According to requirements you can now choose between nine different basic types of transport platforms and hoists for persons and material. Due to the modular system numerous cabins and platform sizes are available. Load capacities up to 2000 kg and a safe transport of up to 18 persons at a lifting speed of max. 40 m/min are possible.

The Multilift Comfort-line can be used world-wide without any restrictions as a completely closed hoist for persons and material. It was exactly designed and equipped conforming to international regulations (e.g. EN 12159).

You can upgrade the serially equipped automatic control by the control for preselection of landing level safety gate which would be more user-friendly. Due to safety reasons the 2.5 m high base enclosure is electrically and mechanically interlocked, i.e. the base enclosure door can only be opened if the hoist is in the ground station.

The Multilift Standard-line is not at all in a technically inferior position compared to the Comfort line. However, the use depends on national regulations. It comes with a lower, electrically supervised base enclosure, i.e. the hoist cannot be moved if the base enclosure door is not properly closed or stops if somebody opens the door. To further eliminate risks the Multilift Standard - line has an integrated anti-crashing grate. As soon as it gets in contact with material or persons, being below the device, the limit switch of the anti-crashing grate is being activated and stops the device immediately.

There are two different landing level gates for the Multilift - line. The electrically and mechanically interlocked, completely closed landing level gate (figure 1) allows driving without keeping to the mandatory distance to building. It can only be opened if the hoist is in the respective level.

The second version (figure 2) is lower, mechanically interlocked and electrically supervised, i.e. the device stops or does not drive if the door is open.

Assembly and dismantling
of the devices is not carried out by standing on the roof. By using the integrated roof hatch and the mast cover panel in the interior of the hoist the device can easily be assembled and dismantled by standing in the cabin. Fast and safe!
The well-known engineered safety features like the over speed safety brake and overload protection or limit switches at the upper and lower level are of course part of the standard equipment.
