GEDA on exclusive construction site in Golden City

Several GEDA units helping to complete exclusive apartments in new Prague building complex.

New and exclusive apartments are being built in the Prague building complex “Rezidence Nuselsky Pivovar” with the help of several GEDA units. The work will be finished in no time at all thanks to five GEDA 1500 Z/ZP transport platforms and three GEDA Maxi 120 S units.

With a population of more than 1.3 million (as at January 2023), Prague is Czechia’s most highly populated city. The high demand for living space means that the new apartments in “Rezidence Nuselsky Pivovar” have to be completed on time. This is where the five GEDA 1500 Z/ZP transport platforms and three GEDA Maxi 120 S units come into play.
The new apartments are part of the “Nusle Brewery” project and offer a wide selection of apartments, from studios and family apartments to lavish penthouses with terraces. The modern furnishings and high quality materials used in their construction give the apartments an exclusive touch. All the buildings in the complex form an enclosed inner courtyard. This is a green parking area and is also intended to be a space for residents to meet and relax. The location between the Vinohrady and Nusle neighbourhoods also combines a quiet environment in close proximity to the city. Moreover, all the important shops are within walking distance, and the centre of Prague is just a short tram ride away.

Valuable help for residential construction
GEDA transport platforms celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2022, which is a testament to their quality and performance. The transport platforms from Asbach-Bäumenheim, Bavaria, are indispensable on the Czech construction site as well. The urgency of the construction site requires reliable and flexible helpers, which GEDA is more than capable of providing.
From scaffolders to façade and interior fitters and roofers, everyone on the site is using the GEDA equipment to complete their work. The very limited construction site area is no problem for the GEDA equipment. The five GEDA 1500 Z/ZP transport platforms were installed at a height of 34 metres and serve 15 floors. They are fitted with GEDA Comfort doors to ensure smoothness and safety when moving from the platform to the scaffolding.
With a platform size of 1.45 m x 3.3 m and a load capacity of 2,000 kg, the GEDA 1500 Z/ZP BS platform is ideally suited for the transport of heavy materials. But workers can also be brought to where they need to be without any problems because the GEDA 1500 Z/ZP can carry up to seven people.
Given the urgency of the project, the GEDA 1500 Z/ZP transport platform is a great help on the construction site, saving time and money for those in charge. Despite the difficult conditions, there is nothing to stop the project from being completed on time, as the transport platforms have been attached directly on the scaffolding on the construction site. The static calculation by HR System, Frydek Mistek, made it possible to install the anchors this way on account of the low anchoring forces for two-mast system lifts.

Small lift – big impact
With a load capacity of 120 kg and a speed of up to 60 m/min, the GEDA Maxi 120 S is the ideal thing to help façade builders. On the Prague construction site, the traction lift also serves façade workers well when transporting façade panels and insulation. Like the GEDA 1500 Z/ZP transport platforms, the GEDA Maxi 120 S has been installed at a height of 34 m. However, it can go to up to 70 m at full capacity. A lifting speed of 20 m/min can be selected when transporting sensitive materials as well. Thanks to the large selection of accessories, the GEDA Maxi 120 S can be equipped for all applications and is a great help on construction sites of any kind.

What made the construction site special was the use of GEDA 1500 Z/ZP transport platforms, which were attached directly on the scaffolding. Given the scope and logistics of the project, the Prague office of HR System, headquartered in Frydek Mistek, had to perform the statistical calculations and used the results to carry out the assembly work. This was done gradually from June 2023 to August 2023. The set-up was a challenge that was mastered thanks to the excellent performance in logistics and coordination by everyone working on the construction site. Thanks to the efficiency of our equipment and the capabilities of HR System, everything went smoothly, on time and to the satisfaction of everyone involved.
