GEDA sets up subsidiary in Korea
GEDA-Dechentreiter GmbH & Co. KG, the manufacturer of construction and industrial hoists from Asbach-Bäumenheim in Bavaria, is continuing its 2015 expansion with the opening of a new location in Korea.
In addition to construction hoists and transport platforms, GEDA has been developing and producing industrial hoists for permanent use for many years. These complex, often explosion-protected lift solutions are installed for example in the oil and gas industry, in power stations and in petrochemical plants. Using state-of-the-art engineering, the GEDA lift solutions are developed and produced at the company head office in Asbach-Bäumenheim and during these processes the company always places great emphasis on its comprehensive customer support.
Due to the huge increase in demand for industrial hoists, both worldwide but especially in the Korea/Japan region, the Bavarian company decided to set up its own company site in Seoul. Trading under the company name GEDA Korea, the new subsidiary will be responsible for servicing the Korean and Japanese markets.
In the words of GEDA managing director Johann Sailer, customer proximity is one of the most important reasons behind the establishment of the company's new site in Korea. "The establishment of GEDA Korea will ensure that we are now very well placed to further improve our customer service and support in the Korea/Japan region. People can now contact our local experts directly, we can travel to our customer sites very quickly and provide targeted responses to market requirements." The aim is also to provide better support to existing partnerships and to create new networks. The pulsating metropolis of Seoul is therefore an ideal springboard for this.
To offer added-value to customers is also the aim of Andrew Shin, the subsidiary manager of GEDA Korea, who as an experienced businessman, is heading up the new location. Shin has many years' experience in the lift sector and as the GEDA representative will form the ideal interface between his home markets and the GEDA head office in Germany.
GEDA continues to move along an upward curve. Over the last few decades the company has developed from a niche product manufacturer into a global player. GEDA products are now sold in 80 countries across the world through its international sales and distribution channels. In addition to the company's head office in Asbach-Bäumenheim and two other subsidiaries in Germany, the sites in the USA, Russia and Turkey also contribute to the global distribution of GEDA's height access solutions.
With the establishment of GEDA Korea, the company has passed another milestone in its company history and is continuing its philosophy of global customer proximity.
