Large order from Qatar

GEDA supplies United Equipment with Bavarian height access solutions as rental stock

It was all smiles recently at GEDA-Dechentreiter GmbH & Co. KG when the construction and industrial hoist manufacturer welcomed its long-standing partner, United Equipment, to the company’s head office in Asbach-Bäumenheim. The rental company from Qatar had arrived with a large order.

The partnership between the two companies began in 2013 at bauma where GEDA secured United Equipment as a business partner along with a large order for ten person and material hoists from the PH-series.

United Equipment is now adding numerous GEDA hoist solutions to its rental stock. So before long 32 GEDA SBL 2000 person and material hoists will be setting out to Doha.
To celebrate the conclusion of the contract, Johann Sailer, Managing Director of GEDA and Area Sales Manager, Markus Dommer, welcomed United Equipment Operations Manager, Mr. Muaz Ayoub, to the company’s head office in Asbach-Bäumenheim.

United Equipment is the market leader in the rental of cranes in Qatar and is a long-standing partner of prestigious companies from across the world including Liebherr and ABUS. Providing customers with consistent and excellent technical support coupled with professional solutions for a wide range of requirements remains a high priority for both United Equipment and GEDA.
Special solutions, aligned exactly to individual building requirements, are not required in most cases in markets outside Europe. In contrast with other, variably adjustable hoist solutions from GEDA, the new GEDA SBL 2000 is therefore only available in a fixed platform size of 3.20 x 1.45 x 2.10 metres, with a standard load capacity of 2000 kg and 23 people, as well as a maximum hoisting speed of 55 m/min and a lifting height of 250 m. “We also want to offer our customers outside Europe height access solutions that are specially tailored to their needs. We have achieved that with the GEDA SBL 2000,” says Managing Director Johann Sailer.

GEDA and United Equipment are continuing their joint collaboration with this new large order and will now be supporting numerous building projects around the Persian Gulf.
